Responsible for marketing content at an educational software company. Developed and executed on the editorial and SEO strategy for the Turnitin blog, customer stories, teaching resources, quizzes, and/or promotional materials. Developed global campaign themes and content. Developed strategy for long-form brand content and wrote three whitepapers targeting decision-maker personas. Conducted in-depth research to inform thought leadership positioning and collate that research into industry thought pieces such as white papers. Contract Recruiter for the DPG (Devices Products Group) group Openwave (joined Phone.com, which became Openwave Systems after merger with Software.com). Responsible for managing the hiring process and the client interface with Openwave hiring managers, interview teams, and candidates. Recruited hard-to-find software engineers for Openwave's Next Generation micro-browser for wireless phones, as well as IT, technical publications, and marketing departments.

As sole in-house recruiter, responsible for spearheading recruiting and HR for a high tech startup. Responsible for over 30 hired applicants in the initial 4 months of employment and for over 110 hired applicants within one year (increased headcount from 50 employees to over 165); openings ranged from individual contributors to directors, and served departments across the board (marketing, engineering, services, business development, sales, and accounting. Responsible for HR operations as well; advised and processed employee Visas, implemented background check process, counseled employees on job related concerns (ie., conflicts, career-pathing). Designed and implemented long-term recruiting marketing strategies and sourcing channels, including employee referral program (increased successful referrals from 10% to 50%), employment website, recruiting collateral, and outreach programs.

Designed and implemented technical recruiting strategies for a Silicon Valley consulting firm specializing in UNIX system administration, PC systems support, and web development. Targeted inactive markets, sourced, interviewed, and hired prospective candidates for both technical solutions and university recruiting purposes. Assessed technical and interpersonal fit for employment. Negotiated terms of employment, including salary, benefits, and relocation issues with applicants. Responsible for over 100 hired applicants in one year. Responsibilities included college recruiting, event planning, and campus relationship building. As manager, responsible for training and supervising three technical recruiters and hiring 30 consultants a month.
