Sr. Product Applications Engineer
Had the opportunity to lead custom design cable and shifter projects for commercial industries. Maintained strong communication ties including travelling overseas with a small team to reach customer approval on a custom truck shifter and control cables system. Outside of leading projects, I remotely supported our South Carolina plant with engineering and traveled bi-monthly to the plant for in-person support of several engineering and production projects.

Project Engineer
Enjoyed leading multi-year long design and qualification programs of mainly custom mechanical control cable projects in the global aerospace and defense industry while following industry standard, AS9100. Two of the multi-year projects where I gained significant experience were designing a manual Gust Lock handle and cable system intended to lock the main rotor of a helicopter and designing and qualifying emergency control cables for an oversees airplane manufacturer. All of my significant projects involved writing, reviewing, and approving technical reports to support domestic (FAA) and international (EASA) product qualification. Also enjoyed coordinating with third-party testing facilities, vendors and contractors to support validation of new products and support customer schedules and requirements. When necessary, I led efforts to perform in-house qualification tests using industry hardware and software.

Design Engineer
First position in the Aerospace and Defense industry. Learned a lot by supporting Senior Engineers by generating CAD 3D models and technical drawings as part of the engineering design process. In my first full project, I assisted with designing and qualifying emergency fuel shut-off cables for a new private class aircraft. Other significant duties included coordinating with several internal departments within the company to establish material requirements, production planning, and manufacturing quality.
