Manage the execution of our Soybean crop plan (80k acres), grower relations and management, adherence to procedures and ensure reliable supply of high quality seed. Optimization and streamlining of processes. Key member of the Climate FieldView implementation in Soy Manufacturing (800K acres across North America). During my time as a Field Production Manager I worked closely with our Chemical Account Manager to increase company-branded pesticides usage in our production acres. We worked together to promote rebate programs and educate growers during annual grower meetings across my territory (Southern Minnesota, Eastern Nebraska and West half of Iowa). Quality was always the main focus when managing growers and processes in the field and plant (i.e. grower and bin ranking, initiation of gravity table bypassing).

Responsible for the entire Quality Management System at the Clarion, Iowa Soybean Production Site (Asgrow & Channel brands), worked closely with third party production companies to align site's quality and compliance programs with the US Row Crops QMS Team. Provided oversight of the Site's Quality Assurance Lab where we performed warm germinations and physical analysis on all lots produced and packaged by the site (4M bushels/year), also led impact studies in the conditioning tower to ensure impact on quality was minimal from grower bin to finished product. Led the Stewardship Program for the Roundup Ready® Xtend soybean varieties production and launch by managing all processes from planting to post harvest, grower management, training and documentation.

Commercial Cotton Seed Production (Deltapine). During this time I oversaw the Quality Assurance Lab where we performed in-house Trait Genetic Purity testing, physiological and chemical tests (oil type and content, NIR for Active Ingredient testing). During my second season I also led Logistics and Warehousing activities at the site, supplying U.S. grown cottonseed to Mexico, Colombia and U.S.. During this period is when I worked with site Production Lead and IT to implement barcoding of our product (raw and finished) to bring inventory live and provide better visibility to our planners in Saint Louis, MO.

Supporting the regulated production of our new Genuity Bollgard II Xtendflex® Cotton. I was responsible for monitoring of all regulated production in Seminole, TX and Hobbs, NM which included training Gin personnel, truckers, Aiken, TX site staff, growers and their hired hands. I spent countless hours scouting and conducting mass balance calculations to report to our Regional Compliance Leads in Saint Louis, MO. Our site successfully produced regulated seed without a single compliance incident.

Commercial Hybrid Seed Corn Production (Dekalb). During my time at the Remington, IN site I was involved in various aspects of Seed Production: Responsible for the Quality Assurance Lab, SAP data entry and reporting, Supply Estimations ("Shakeouts"), responsible for the summer Field Inspectors in our East growing area (Leesburg, IN). The goal of this role was to learn as much as possible by working closely with our Seed Technicians and doing hands-on work.

Research in Corn and Soybeans across the Mid-West region (Minnesota, Nebraska, South Dakota, Iowa and Illinois). Followed customer protocols and executed activities from pre-planting to post harvest.

I worked in the Parent Seed organization inspecting corn and sunflower fields. I created strong relationships with our seed growers in the Metropolitan Region, and helped contract land through field assessments (isolation, location, feasibility, etc.). My 1st harvest season I worked night shift picking corn (24 hour green corn receiving site) for the Paine Site (Monsanto). 2nd and 3rd harvest seasons I supervised multiple areas of the plant: dumps, green sort, dryer bins and shellers, providing guidance to employees and communicating with shift leads (both day and night shifts). I also operated the soybean conditioning line in 2008-09 season.
