I am a Ph.D. student aiming to pursue an academic career. My research interests include mechanical structure of river flows, river bed -and plan- forms, initiation, time evolution, and stabilization of alternate bars and meandering rivers, river morphological response, and sensor performance.I believe teaching is as equally important as the research commitment. I envision it as an integral part of my learning process as well as my career profile. During the time as part of the educational community, I have had the opportunity to advise and train people at various levels, which I consider to have been one of the most rewarding experiences due to all the feedback obtained from the process. The development of my teaching philosophy has been built from my experience as a student, teaching, and research assistant at Costa Rica Institute of Technology and Queen’s University.
