The Residential Program Director provides supervision and program leadership to youth in need of intensive out of home placement for youth with complex trauma emotional and behavioral issues. The program specializes in working with children with aggression, running away, suicidal ideation and/or self harming issues. We help these client learn new appropriate safe behaviors with the goal of transitioning clients to a lower level of care. The Program Director is the leader of a multidisciplinary team that provides care and evidenced based and trauma informed services to the clients we serve. The Program Director actively supports and implements a strengths-based, trauma-informed, culturally relevant, client-centered approach to working with youth. This is a full time, regular, exempt management position that at time requires work weeks in excess of 40 hours and may require evening, weekend and on call work.

As a Youth Care Worker I am expected to understand and implement individual treatment plans, record patient behavior and provide a safe, therapeutic, supportive environment for the patients. I was the primary Crisis Interventionist for the units.
