As the head of the technology department, I transformed operations from 10 computers, two servers, a peer-to-peer network, and a single location to over 150 computers, 12 virtualized (VMware) servers, a full LAN/WAN network, and four locations. I coached and mentored a direct report and we supported the organization’s 200+ laptops, printers, copiers, 50+ handhelds, 50+ mobile printers, 50+ iPads, 30 iPhones, and other hardware/software, including an internal graphics department. Responsible for the entire technology infrastructure.Researched and partnered with system users & management to determine user requirements and assess impact of system changes, to select and implement a new ERP system. Integrated distributors into the ERP system after M&A activities. Customized payroll and tax report processes using Excel, Access, and data tools including Margin Minder.Implemented the transformation of our sales process from driver-sell to pre-sell, working with ERP systems and supervisors to implement electronic routebooks. Significantly reduced product returns and labor costs.Introduced layer-picking technology to WMS, and modified ERP product setups and picklist outputs to accommodate layer product.
