CurrentScarborough Subway ExtensionMember of the Project Controls team, responsible for establishing Construction Schedules for large-scale heavy civil construction in the underground construction sector. Tasks include following the schedule plan, updating, establishing WBS, executing work planning, coordinating with Team members and subject matter experts, supporting the estimating team and working for planning groups, and preparing Project Schedules, reports detailed monthly schedule updates, earned value management, present critical path to the project team and generate what-if scenarios if required, among others.The Scarborough Subway Extension is a planned 3 stop subway extension from the existing TTC Kennedy Station to McCowan Rd and Sheppard Ave. intersection. It is a design build project for a 7.8km subway extension (6.9km of tunnel to be dug using a 12m diameter TBM), launch and extraction shafts and headwalls for the future stations and emergency exit buildings along the tunnel line.The project is part of the $28.5 billion subway expansion program which includes other projects such as the Eglinton West Extension, Yonge North Extension and the Ontario Line. Once these projects are completed, “more than 40km of new subway service to the rapid transit network” will be added in the GTA area.
