Cristyn is the Director of the Sustainable Infrastructure Research Hub at the University of Queensland and Co-Lead of the Infrastructure CoLab, both supporting industry transition to a decarbonised, circular and resilient economy. In addition to industry level mechanisms for transitions, Cristyn's research investigates how to increase the adoption of sustainable products and practices in organisations by improving understanding of the way individual employees and organisations make decisions related to sustainability. Applications of this work include the use of Corporate Reporting, emerging technology including Virtual Reality and Micro-investment platforms, and aligning products with customer values. As a Lecturer at The University of Queensland Business School, Cristyn teaches Decision Making & Reporting for Sustainability in the Masters of Business. Cristyn's aim through these courses is to challenge future managers to think differently about the role of organisations in today's world and, critically, to understand how to enact change for sustainability. Previously Cristyn has worked in the private, not for profit and government sectors in a range of roles including project management, community engagement, vegetation management, and financial modelling.
