I provide Pre-Employment Transition Services and Vocational Rehabilitation Services to students and transitioning youth with disabilities. I work with them to find and maintain competitive integrated employment. For consumers that are in secondary school, I attend their IEP meetings to gain insights about the students and offer rehabilitation services as part of helping the students achieve their goals. I support consumers in making informed choices regarding their vocational goals and in planning their services. I provide case management services by issuing authorizations and making referrals to Community Rehabilitation Providers. As consumers participate in services, I review the progress reports and invoices for the vendors to get paid and ensure that the consumer is on the right track towards achieving their goals.

During the 2021-2022 school year, I taught 5th and 6th grade math and science. During the 2020-2021 school year, I taught Life Skills in a multi grade, self-contained classroom. Sharp-Leadenhall Elementary Middle School is a separate public day school. As the IEP case manager for my students, I oversee the drafting and implementation of their goals and accommodations. I facilitated a rigorous education in a therapeutic environment to my students in order to narrow the achievement gap and prepare them to be productive members of their communities. An important part of my job was analyzing student data weekly in order to make the most impactful decision on student learning and guide my students in meeting their growth potential.

I was selected to live in an off-campus apartment with international students attending the English Language Institute. As an AGF, I promoted cross-cultural exchange and cultivated friendships with international students through biweekly dinners and pushing outside of my comfort zone to try new things and learn more about them. I served as a mentor to my roommates by helping them practice speaking English and adjust to living in a new place. I received training at monthly staff meetings about cross cultural communication, community building, and conflict management.

I co-produced 17 issues of the Latin American News Digest. Part of this involved writing multi-piece aggregations in English based off of Latin American news articles written in Spanish. I received 2-4 articles in Spanish each week to be summarized in English. I read each new issue of the Latin American News Digest to suggest any editing that may have been missed prior to publication.

My main job was to checkout customers and do returns. I also answered phones and helped customers find items around the store. It was also part of my job to get customers to sign up for the rewards program and apply for the store credit card. Towards the end of the night, I helped clean and organize the front end, so that we could open smoothly in the morning.

I cleaned tables and reset tables, cleaned the bathrooms, and did whatever else was needed to ensure the customers were happy. I would serve food to tables if it was particularly busy and get customers whatever they needed, like extra chairs, more silverware, their servers, etc.

My responsibility was to be the leader of the Young Americans for Liberty chapter at University of Delaware. I organized meetings, helped to develop other leaders within the chapter, and set goals for our chapter to meet. It was always my goal to keep the meetings fun and interesting. I engaged our members in conversation topics relating to an upcoming activism event, current events, and/or libertarian philosophy. Additionally, it was my job to oversee the tasks of the other officers. I coordinated events by assigning tasks and helping the officers to reach their goals. It was also my responsibility to communicate with organizations outside our chapter. I coordinated events with other student groups, kept in contact with the school administration, and constantly stayed up-to-date with the YAL National team. That included obtaining resources for our chapter such as activism kits, funding, and training.We accomplished a lot in my year as chapter president. We hosted lots of events throughout the year. The events centered on topics of free speech, taxation, and criminal justice reform. In addition, I met with the dean of students and kept in contact with him about improving UD's speech codes. We successfully brought one of UD's policies up to a green light, but there is still work to be done.

I operated the rides in the ride park. It was my responsibility to make sure everybody was safely secured in the ride, that the ride was balanced, and that everybody obeyed the riding rules.
