Safran USA accounts for about 25% of the Group's total revenues.As the Deputy General Counsel I am responsible for Safran USA’s legal team with 6 direct reports and a multi-million dollar budget. In addition, I personally handle a number of the Group’s strategic projects. • Complex International Contracts and Negotiations: Successfully partner with business teams in negotiating high profile, complex commercial and corporate transactions. Experience in negotiating in multiple countries, with individuals from diverse backgrounds and cultures. • Intellectual Property and Licensing: Regularly negotiate and advise on agreements with highly sensitive IP provisions, including joint venture agreements, joint development agreements, risk-revenue sharing agreements, licensing agreements and SaaS agreements. • M&A and Joint Ventures: Safran USA’s expert for strategic projects, including negotiating multiple projects with senior M&A/JV attorneys from Honeywell International, Inc., Pratt & Whitney/Hamilton Sundstrand, Inc., General Electric Company and Smiths Group PLC. • Lean Management: Manage the Safran USA legal team supporting the Group’s efforts in North America. Implemented Safran+ management techniques based on best Lean and Six Sigma practices aimed at continuous improvement. • Corporate Governance and Insurance: Responsible for advising the various board of directors and overseeing the corporate governance of the Group’s US entities, including placement of the Group’s North America Insurance Program.
