Day to Day Essential DutiesOperate as the initial escalation point person for all inbound platform, server, and database defects.Triage defects to environment issues, document steps for recreating, entering the ticket into the current defect tracking system, and notifying appropriate team members when resolved.Thoroughly test defects to ensure ticket is escalated to appropriate team to resolve (Product, DBA,DevOps, etc).Utilize a variety of tools including server monitors, internal accounts + reports, staging environments, andmore to identify/troubleshoot server or other platform issues.Participate in the defect prioritization conversation. Working in close collaboration with other teams tounderstand scope and severity of defects and communicating that to the Product team for appropriateresolution time.Track a progress through JIRA (or current) ticketing system to completion and release. EnsureTest fixes in cooperation with QA before release to production environment.Reporting and trending analysis of defects in JIRA (or current) ticketing software and sharing with teamfor the purpose of awareness, education, and escalation to management if needed.Continue working to improve the escalation process, tracking, and communication to team members fora more efficient and effective experience.
