I was initially tasked with completing the utility specific fibre and make-ready work designs, obtaining approval and commencing construction on the aerial components of the fibre rollout. After completing the initial stages of design approval my scope grew to include the QLD construction manager role. This role required the analysis of the construction planning, execution and resources management. The role also required implementing process improvement and identifying risk components and driving the defect rectification process. In August 2014 the contract changed to construct only works and as a consequence the designs were transferred back to NBN. I had received licences for 5 design package prior to this point and completed the construction through to FA for 3 packages of work. Due to a restructure in December 2014, I was given the additional scope of completing the underground components for the outstanding works. The current scope of work is $30m, I have 8 direct reports with a subcontract staff in excess of 70 employees. Responsibilities: Construction Review and Analysis, Subcontractor Resource Management, HSEQ compliance, Programme Management, Electrical Fibre Design Management, Contract Management, Subcontractor Management, Quality Control and stakeholder engagement.
