The $650mil Kingsford Smith Drive (KSD) upgrade is a D&C project that involves widening the road from four to six lanes between Theodore Street at Eagle Farm and Cooksley Street at Hamilton. I am managing the delivery of the PUP works. The scope of the PUP work requires:• Interface and negotiation between the utilities and designers to achieve the desired design outcome;• Integrated programming and co-ordination between the Utility approved contractors and the Roads or Structures teams;• Obtaining utility approvals;• Issuing tenders and engaging and supervising subcontractors;• Managing the completion process for progressive design package handover.The value of the relocation packages under my supervision is $23mil. I’m delivering these works whilst managing 7 engineers, 3 undergraduate engineers and a subcontract workforce of approximately 40. The relocation packages include:• Energex HV, LV and fibre relocations;• Gas temporary and permanent relocations;• Communications relocations (Telstra, Optus, Uecomm and NBN), • BCC ITS, Traffic Signals, Street lighting, Architectural lighting; and • QUU Sewer and Water packages. Arura Constructions is a small tier 3 utilities construction contractor looking to expand. I joined their team to grow the subcontractor aspect of the business. • I completed a business review including cost analysis, • Reviewed and amended 3 client side contracts • Formally engaged 6 subcontractors. • Personally supervised 6 contractors to successfully deliver 41 packages of work totalling $500k. • I developed a business plan which delivered 100% increase in revenue compared to the previous financial year. • I was also working with the managing director to establish tablet based systems to drive efficiency and quality.

I was initially tasked with completing the utility specific fibre and make-ready work designs, obtaining approval and commencing construction on the aerial components of the fibre rollout. After completing the initial stages of design approval my scope grew to include the QLD construction manager role. This role required the analysis of the construction planning, execution and resources management. The role also required implementing process improvement and identifying risk components and driving the defect rectification process. In August 2014 the contract changed to construct only works and as a consequence the designs were transferred back to NBN. I had received licences for 5 design package prior to this point and completed the construction through to FA for 3 packages of work. Due to a restructure in December 2014, I was given the additional scope of completing the underground components for the outstanding works. The current scope of work is $30m, I have 8 direct reports with a subcontract staff in excess of 70 employees. Responsibilities: Construction Review and Analysis, Subcontractor Resource Management, HSEQ compliance, Programme Management, Electrical Fibre Design Management, Contract Management, Subcontractor Management, Quality Control and stakeholder engagement.

This scope required complex programming and co-ordination with the Roads, Bridges and Tunnelling teams. My scope continued to expand as the project continued. The scope increased to include QUU sewer and water relocations and the Northern fire water supply connection.
