Senior Product EngineerArchitected the Quikr app for iOS. Responsible for implementing various verticals within the Quikr application viz. Quikr Chat, Escrow, Quikr Doorstep, Quikr Homes, Profiles, Discover, Horizontal functionality.My primary responsibilities included: • Direct, coordinate and help develop the Quikr application on iOS platform• Review and approve code designs• Establish coding standards, integrating Jenkins CI and help automation• Enhancing the overall User Experience by reworking majority of the screens in the application• Improve the quality and overall stability of the application• Implementing optimizations for performance, modularization and reusability• Working with latest versions of Swift (with a mix of Objective-C). Keeping the app upto Apple standards, compatible with the latest version of iOS• Liaisoning with other tech, product management and marketing teams for establishing estimates and expectations• Hire and mentor other members of the team

Working as a lead engineer (technical lead) on shipping applications on various mobile platforms – iOS, Windows Phone, Android and Series 40. Currently, focusing on launching the iOS version of Nokia Nearby application.Application development on iOS, WP, Android and Series 40 for Nokia Nearby.• Involved in the phases of research and development, implementation, technology and usability testing and transfer to program teams for Nokia Nearby application.• Working on concepting and prototyping of new features for Nokia Nearby application.• Working with internal SPC (Security, Privacy and Continuity) groups to ensure the on-time market readiness for applications on various distribution channels – preload on devices, operator indexing and marketplace / app store releases.• Liaising with various internal teams / stakeholders and Nokia partners to ensure on-time application delivery.

Worked in a multidisciplinary team of engineers, researchers and UX designers.• Development: Working with developers, designers and user researchers to deliver “Nokia Nearby” Web App and Nokia Indic Touch input.• Listening to the consumers: Working with the UX and User Research team to collect feedback from the pilot users (online, offline, live interviews) and derive findings to incorporate in the application.• Technology transfer: Knowledge transfer and driving the S40 team (MPS) and handover the app for preloading and further development.• Patents: Working on concepting of new ideas and filing potential ideas as Patents.• Evangelism: Speaking at various developer events for showcasing Nokia’s Developer offerings.• Working with the Nokia Location Platform team in India to deliver Location based Web applications to Nokia store.

Working on mobile applications on Symbian and Android platforms. • Development of 5 major Mobile applications products including MobiCop, MobiMate, Talk007, IWatch and MobiSecret Premium available in Asia and IMEA countries. • Application development for an in-house net-book product (MobiPad/LillyPad) based on Maemo 5 and Android.
