I want to leave a personal stamp on as many people's lives as I can, making a difference by helping others in a flexible and fun environment. I want to use my Child Life skills in a new way to continue to help children and families make the transitions between hospital and home manageable. My mission is to be a catalyst for change, asking the tough questions of life and seeking to find the answers through a different lens. I want to influence others to see their potential, rearrange what they see and increase their personal productivity through strength based theory.Creating positive learning experiences through play is my purpose. I plan to do this through creativity in my resourcefulness and authenticity in my innovations. A playful attitude, adaptability and sense of humour balance my professionalism, bigger-picture thinking and solution-based problem solving skills. A keen interest in therapeutic play, social psychology and human behaviour has grown into a yearning to use my strengths and differences to the continuing advantage of the Child Life profession.
