Hastings Direct invited me to lead the Data Migration (ETL, SSIS) workstream. The business was moving the core business policy management solution from CDL (Cheshire Data systems Ltd) to Guidewire.Engaging my analytical & organisational skills to enable the business to define Metadata & Data Governance, mapping the more than six hundred data points and several thousand data values. As SME (Subject Matter Expert) for the migration program, working closely with EY (Ernst & Young) both on and offshore. Modelling the problem, I Architected and Designed the complete solution. Based on Microsoft SQL Server (2014) Database utilising Schemas, Datatypes, Views, CTEs, Functions, Stored Procedures, Service Broker, C# CLR Assemblies. Development of a Suite of SSIS packages providing the orchestration of the ETL process.Working in an Agile Environment, delivering Highly Available, Scalable, Performant, Solutions. • Performance, using Advance Partitioning and Query Plan Analysis• ETL using SSIS and Advance T-SQL (cte, partition)• Reports using SSRS Reporting

Responsible for Cash Converters Personal Finance, loan management system, and online customer application website. Servicing the network of 140+ Stores in AU and 200+ stores in the UK via a 24/7 production environment. Working directly with a diverse group of internal customers (stakeholders) from board level to operations, delivering high-quality solutions with a customer focus, using Agile methodology in a business as usual and portfolio project setting. Recruited, motivated, retained and developed a team of 10 highly technical delivery specialists. The most notable delivery was a data warehouse delivering a BI Reporting solution allowing the business to “mortgage” their loan assets. $60M Westpac funded capitalisation deal: Data Analysis, Negotiation internal and external, Implementation of subordination and loan book analysis reporting. Successfully completed in March 2013, raising $54M through securitising existing loan assets. Delivered on time and within budget. Implemented as a Data warehouse, with SSIS (ETL) dimension gathering on a nightly basis, with SSAS/SSRS reporting solution proving a detailed report to the Accounting business unit.

My experience over this time is divided into two distinct areas, my consulting with Brittanicmoney.com and Colt Telecom (by far the greater part), and being the director and principle of Anatex.Brittanicmoney.com:- Real-time online mortgage application system, based on Windows NT, IIS, Coldfusion 4.5, MS SQL Server 7, Hardware load balancing in a multiple server solution. This included secure server using SSL \ TLS Certificates.Colt Telecom:- Pan-European Sales Management Intranet application, based on Windows 2000, IIS, Coldfusion MX, MS SQL 2000.Anatex developed applications based on the application framework “EAZEE” developed as part of my Internet Technologies Degree. This provided a common basis for delivering quality applications that could be supported by the small team.
