Managed the Deputy Minister U.S. investment campaign - identifying high growth sectors and companies in the area of information and communications technology; profiling them for strategic investment from foreign multinationals; engaging multinational investment groups.

Established a group which won international contracts to develop National eStrategies in a number of countries (in Latin America, the Caribbean and Africa) through public sector mentoring. This involved establishing collaborations with Canadian industry and NGOs, managing a multi-disciplinary group of 10 professionals, and signing authority for a $4.9m annual budget, .This included work with the UN ICT Task Force, UNESCO, and the World Bank, and being a member of Canadian Delegation to the World Summit on the Information Society.

Responsible for the international marketing of Canadian information and communication technology companies throughout the Americas.

Over more than 14 years, my career progressed from earlier responsibilities for: Broadcast Regulation; Communications Research Policy; ICT Strategic Planning; and managing Industrial Development Programs; to more market development activities related to internet development both within Canada and internationally.
