Cassidy serves as Deputy City Clerk for the City of Raleigh. She began working for the City in early 2016 after several years of experience with Regional Councils of Government. In 2021 she was awarded the designation of “North Carolina Certified Municipal Clerk” (NCCMC) from the North Carolina Association of Municipal Clerks, along with the School of Government of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill for achieving its high educational, experience, and service requirements.Her first year of studies began at Point Loma Nazarene University (PLNU) in San Diego, California, where she studied Art & Design. Upon completion of one year at PLNU, she transferred to the University of North Carolina at Greensboro (UNCG), where she holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Studio Art. She had a passion for helping fellow students at UNCG and served on the Executive Cabinet of the Student Government Association and was an Orientation Leader. To this day, she has great interest in staying involved with her community and making a difference, and therefore attempts to stay up-to-date with local politics, events, and community issues.Cassidy imagines herself completing a full career with the City (she may be biased - but Raleigh truly is the best place to live, work, and play) and perhaps after retirement one day, serving on a local board or commission. She gets fulfillment from personally assisting others and making a difference in her community. Her creative approach in the workplace has proven to be a great asset to each company she has worked for.
