Charles R. Rogers, PhD, MPH, MS, MCHES®, is deeply committed to breaking down systems of oppression to create health equity for all. As the Founding Director of the Men’s Health Inequities Research Lab, a member of the world-renowned University of Michigan Mixed Methods Program, and the Founder and President of the Colorectal Cancer Equity Foundation, Dr. Rogers has dedicated his career to advancing health for underserved and socially vulnerable groups. His work reaches Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islanders, African Americans, the unhoused, adolescents, young adults, rural residents, Indigenous communities, and more. For over 15 years, he has focused on raising awareness of colorectal cancer (CRC) and promoting prevention, especially among African-American men and others disproportionately affected.A respected voice in the field, Dr. Rogers is published in top journals like JCO Oncology Practice, Cancer Epidemiology, Biomarkers & Prevention, and JAMA Network Open, and he contributes to public conversations on platforms like NPR, where he drives essential discussions, influences policy changes, and inspires action. Since 2018, he has secured over $3.3 million in research funding and has been celebrated as a thought leader by organizations including ESPN, the Japan Society for Mixed Methods Research, the Utah Jazz, and the World Health Organization.Dr. Rogers has received numerous honors, including an Endowed Chair, the 40 Under 40 Leader in Minority Health distinction, the SCOPY Award from the American College of Gastroenterology, the Cancer Community Catalyst for Change Award, and a place among NC State University's 100 Most Influential Black Alumni.
