I am currently employed as the Biomedical Engineering Manager having previously been a Quality and Asset Coordinator and Biomedical Technician at the Great Western Hospital in Swindon.I have undertaken a school centered initial teacher training (SCITT) course in Swindon but found I was not cut out to be a Secondary School teacher. I do, however, maintain an interest in education as a school governor.I was a radio systems engineer for more nearly 30 years with broad experience of commercial and military systems from DC to daylight (literally 60kHz to UV). I have worked with IC designers, marketing professionals and production/manufacturing/test departments as well as providing support to customers, customer visits and training. I am co-inventor on four patents and have presented and written a number of technical papers.I was most recently employed as an applications engineer providing technical assistance to customers as well as supporting marketing activities such as customer visits document generation, etc.I am a Chartered Engineer (Member of Institute of Engineers and Technologists - CEng MIET) and a member of the International Council on Systems Engineers (InCoSE).In my spare time I like to do conservation work including regular coppicing work in a nearby hazel coppice as well as working in a nearby stately home (Lydiard Park).Specialties: ICT, RF systems design, System simulation, Application support, Customer support, Datasheet and white papers, FAQs, Teaching, Landscape conservation, Gardening, Permaculture
