I help clients craft creative alignment models that preserve existing strengths and afford opportunities for long-term success.

At Bond & Botes, I devoted myself to filing adversary proceedings in federal bankruptcy courts against third-party debt purchasers for violations of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act under Crawford v. LVNV Funding, LLC. Over the course of five months, I filed over 100 adversary proceedings, managed the case docket for these filings, and wrote and filed accompanying legal briefs that successfully defended my clients positions. In total, approximately 70% of these adversary proceedings were positively settled or disposed in my clients' favor. Approximately another 15% of these filings were stayed during the pending certification of a class action suit filed against one of the defendants in another federal court. Additionally, I met with clients and prospective clients to discuss their personal finances and determine whether filing either a Chapter 7 or Chapter 11 bankruptcy petition was in their best interests.
