Leeds Community Healthcare NHS Trust is responsible for providing healthcare services in the Leeds area.Providing a range of community services for adults and children including community nursing, health visiting, physiotherapy, community dentistry, primary care mental health, smoking cessation and sexual health services.The trust now has more than 10,000 members and is committed to involving them in an ever growing number of ways across the organisation. Members are the voice of the population cared for by Leeds Community Healthcare NHS Trust and are vital in ensuring the trust achieves the vision of providing the best possible healthcare to every community.Role:Responsible for the day to day delivery of project support, including developing and assisting on the development of projects on implementation and evaluation across business units. Current projects include: Member, patient and stakeholder involvement activities and communications, youth engagement, service-led involvement, volunteering, Leeds Community Healthcare Charity.

BA students along with the Community Education department designed a pop-up workshops that could booked as a free resource to visit and work with community groups and events for adults and families.The project ran from December 2011 until the end of February 2012.The pop-up workshop visited the community mobile libraries, many of the libraries in East and West Leeds (inner city), shopping centres, Kirkgate market and smaller closed community groups.On 16th March 2012, BA Visual Communication students from Leeds College of Art will host a celebration event to open a series of exhibitions they have organized to showcase over 450 postcards made by individuals living in inner Leeds communities.Roles and Responsibilities:• Event organisation and working independently as well as part of a team, making decisions in time of pressure • Developing ideas and carrying through to a finished event• Working to and creating my own strict deadlines • Negotiating locations for exhibitions and launch event on a small budget, sourcing caterers and guest speakers • Organising an outdoor workshop event on Briggate, Leeds • Holding team meetings and taking minutes • Art directing the design team and making sure they keep to deadlines • Promotion via social media including Twitter, Facebook, Pintrest, Ideas Tap, Tumblr • Communicating face to face as well as email with members of arts and community organisations, as well as members of the press • Writing press releases and creating press packs for large mail outs to press and community organisations • Organising website blog and other online medias
