I believe in the transformative power of people. More so, I believe in the potential of people when banded together as an empowered team with a clear and dedicated purpose. During my career I’ve spent time working on or with brands, communications, campaigns, experiential events and a bevy of other projects across the marketing-communications mix both traditional and entrepreneurial. Throughout those broad experiences from the world of advertising agencies and professional sports, what has always stood out to me is the ability of teams to transform businesses and impact the world around them through the conflux of new ideas and shear willpower. I believe collaboration and culture have the ability to create a sense of collective in people from diverse backgrounds, banding them together to become more than simply the sum of their parts. It’s something I observe outside of work: spending my evenings as a high school lacrosse coach where I see those same influences impact and change lives, inspiring the desire to strive for something greater.Professionally, most of my experience comes from where the solution has never been to simply “throw more money” at a problem. Instead, I’ve worked with teams where people have done more with less. Together we’ve taken on multiple roles in different fields and discovered solutions that are more than simple budget allocations, where narrative means more than spend, and constraints lead to creativity. Those experiences have made me flexible, quick to learn, and undaunted by the notion of starting something new. I’m driven by new ideas, new challenges, and finding ways to make a difference. Teams, narratives, and cultures fascinate me, but so does the prospect of bringing good people together to do something special.
