I led a team of 38 people who own 4 projects at LinkedIn. Across the projects, we focused on two key goals: how many members we get hired, and how much revenue we can generate (Hires and Revenue). In two years, we grew Hires by 9 times, and became responsible for half of LinkedIn's job posting Revenue.Our main steps to achieve those successes were to - find and import millions of external job listings for job seekers - simplify the job application process for seekers to external jobs - help companies effortlessly post premium jobs to LinkedIn - enrich data about companies in our databaseAs a result, we: - grew the number of job postings from 1 million to 9 million - launched a job application product (Easy Apply) for external job postings; Easy Apply increases completions of job applications, which will lead to more Hires - launched a job posting product (Job Wrapping) to replace an external vendor that was supporting half our job posting revenue. This reduced risk, lowered cost, and added features to this critical product- added millions of new company records to our databaseFine Print for the metric nerds:Hires only count for our group if a member actually changes their profile to show that they now work at the hiring company. Our group is responsible for Hires due to job postings that are indexed from external web sources, so we separate them out from Hires due to Premium postings to LinkedIn. We repeatedly confirmed that Hires scaled linearly with the number of job postings we made available. Separately, Revenue is measured if we add net new business, or build a product that enables the sales to continue.

Led a team of 7 engineers to redesign our service for crawling web postings online. This required rebuilding the Bright.com software suite (inherited by acquisition) for integration into the LinkedIn tech stack. Additionally, we added millions more jobs to LinkedIn search by expanding our job site crawler with machine learning techniques, new language support, and automation tooling.

I joined the StackLead team just prior to LinkedIn's acquisition. I'm integrating the former Bright.com jobs crawler into the LinkedIn stack.

Continuing my responsibilities and transition from OpenInstall, post-acquisition. Building a team of developers to improve the web application's features, reliability, and performance. Integrating with the internal business systems.

Handled the software design, development, and deployment of the central OpenInstall system: a web application command center for the suite of installers that our customers use in production for over 50 million installs a year.

Created a web application for knowledge management, with applications in research labs at MIT.

Integrated Monte Carlo Localization (S Thrun) and Hierarchical Temporal Memory (J Hawkins, D George) into a virtual robot. This enabled real-time and noise-resistant localization and mapping (SLAM).Also, designed and implemented Neural Network agents to analyze a football game, make predictions and gamble with humans in real-time with Prof. Tom Malone.

-Built primary software product: a neurofeedback tool for mood analysis. Also, realtime web streaming of the analysis.-Owned customer support, supporting $1M in sales-Optimized EEG Fourier Analysis for a 10x performance boost-Championed the use of Open Source tools, both internally in the company and as modules in our retail software.
