My foundation as a leader is rooted in self-awareness and self-examination yet has not been a solitary pursuit. It has involved interaction of many other individuals facilitating a process of reflection, investigation, growth, and feedback. In addition to my educational pursuits, my management and leadership styles have been derived through a compilation of experience, professional development in the form of training opportunities and cultivation of supportive mentoring and coaching experience with past supervisors and colleagues. Over the course of a 30 year career in management, I have cultivated a number of leadership skills that serve me well both professionally and personally; my style is an ‘all hands on deck’ approach, enhanced by humor, good will, and egos at the door. As a leader, I am very committed to respectful treatment of individuals. Because I have strong feelings about team behavior, I value the incorporation of team, as part of any project design and work plan.
