As an aspiring Director, Crysta is naturally most passionate about the performing arts. She previously made her directing debut in the Spring of 2013 in, "Proof,"​ a play by David Auburn. Prior to that she made her way up through acting, stage managing, and assisting in many productions. Since "Proof,"​ she has been in Las Positas College's children's production of "Invisible Treasure"​ in the Fall of 2013 and most recently Las Positas College's Spring musical, "Spring Awakening,"​ where she Stage Managed for the college's major production. Since her first year at Las Positas, she has marked the department with her passion and determination; earning the Theatre Department's Excellence in Theatrical Management scholarship and being hired as a staff member for the Barbara F. Mertes Center for the Arts theatre at the LPC campus each semester from 2013 to 2015. The passion and knowledge she found in her education and experience helped land her as The Little Mermaid's Director for Tracy Repertory Theatre presented through the City of Tracy and The Grand Theatre Center for the Arts in the spring of 2015. This production was a monumental piece towards the momentum of her career.
