Assisted with the opening of a new medical practice, which included the design, layout, decor andbusiness model. Also, worked closely with the Office's Patient Portal development, assured credentialingof Provider, worked closely with all Insurance Companies, as well as worked on developing additionalcontracts, public relations and advertising. I also scheduled all new Patients so that I could begindeveloping a rapport with them so that we could best assist them with both their medical and mentalhealth needs. The Practice and its Provider believed in treating each Patient wholistically, opposed tofocusing only on their medical concerns and conditions. We were very diligent in assuring that ourPatients had both a personal and professional experience and felt recognized as an individual. As aPatient Advocate, I assured patients were connected with resources and a support system as neededand it was my absolute favorite part of my job.
