Individually responsible for supporting the Javascript development teams in the organization, and worked with the teams to provide infrastructure and resources in AWS and Jenkins to support coordinated building, testing, and performance tasks. Also a member of a team responsible for automating continuous integration and continuous delivery tasks. Created a pipeline in Jenkins to automate building and publishing Docker images using Kaniko. Provided Sauce Labs support to teams throughout the organization, including setting up and managing dedicated tunnels in a Kubernetes environment.

Member of a team that is responsible for deploying web applications to EC2 and distributing mobile apps to the App Store and Google Play Store. Manage certificates and provisioning profiles for the mobile applications, as well as creating and maintaining pipelines in Jenkins for the mobile apps. Migrated our internal RubyGems and Nexus repositories to an Artifactory instance in order to consolidate servers and save the company money. Help product managers manage their beta testing and app distribution. Administer our organization in GitHub, using the API to obtain usage data when needed. Generate reports around GitHub review and repo data in Elasticsearch and Kibana running in K8s, and create one-off reports as needed. Recommend and implement automation whenever possible to facilitate developers, such as managing localization with outside vendors. Set up and administer our Kubernetes cluster in EKS.

Member of a team that is supporting and enhancing the CI/CD pipeline for the next version of walmart.com. Previously worked as an app developer on a Node.js/Backbone-based content management system that allows users to schedule and configure content that is displayed on Walmart.com. Also working as a floating resources to help with other team development projects on an as-needed basis. Set up CI/CD pipelines in Jenkins and configured cloud deployments toOpenStack for internal tools developed in the Carlsbad office and ensured that they followed standard practices, such as high availability and ECV checks for load balancers.

Sole developer on a platform developed in Java that allows clients to express interest in receiving samples from particular companies. The system originally integrated with an in-house CRM system, and which was then replaced by a Salesforce system. Worked with a team in China to develop an application that allows people to build and manage photo albums for team sports, and to buy photo products printed with the images. The system integrated with EZ Prints and the Amazon shopping cart and checkout services. Currently working on a team to develop a new system in Ruby on Rails that will allow people to log exercises and sign up for training plans.

Worked with people from different offices to build the new Yahoo! Advertiser Systems that generates the majority of Yahoo!’s revenue. Worked mainly on the Advertiser UI, which is a web application used by advertisers to manage their internet advertising campaigns. Developed a cookie based failover strategy that allowed us to avoid clustering servers. Technology includes Java, Struts, Web Services, Javascript, AJAX, and JSP. Played a major role when internationalizing the application, both by working with in-market teams and writing code to support internationalization. Other tasks include production support, working with project managers for UI design reviews, and working with other teams to design APIs.

Working with a dynamic and innovative team on an internally developed Java application used by the tellers at 315 plus branch offices. Tasks include writing design documents and use cases for new projects and providing mentoring for other programmers with less experience. Designed, developed, and integrated an OCX external application with the Teller application using JNIWrapper (Java to COM Bridge). Added additional functionality to the Teller system such as allowing drivers license data to be interpreted by the system when read by a card reader and modifying the system to suspend the current transaction to allow a teller to run another transaction and return to the original transaction when complete. Configured an automated build process using Cruise Control and WSAD 5.1.1. Refactored the EJB based security for teller transactions to a more flexible and extensible architecture utilizing XML and XSD. Provide production support 24/7 for the branches.

Worked on a team to develop an ebXML adapter for use with the Kinzan Server. Developed a JMX-based management console to allow a user to manage instances of Kinzan Servers from a single web page. Updated the Kinzan Server engine to connect to web service registries using JAXR. Developed a visual BPEL editor that runs as a plug-in within the Eclipse SDE. The BPEL editor also allows users to create the WSDL for the BPEL composite concurrently with the BPEL file. Contributed to a tool (running as an Eclipse plugin) allowing users to create component-based applications that run on the Kinzan Server framework.

Completed a system that would allow bank employees to enter customer claims into a central location. Began work on a system that would allow bank customers to connect directly to the bank via Quicken, Microsoft Money, or QuickBooks rather than through third party OFX vendor. Developed and deployed utilizing JSP, Servlets, Java Beans, and WAS 4.5.3.

Utilized servlets and JSPs running on Websphere Application Server and against Oracle and DB2 databases to create a series of reports for a major insurance company which allowed agents to view their sales figures online rather than waiting for printed reports to be generated. Led a team to construct a robust commission reporting system that will allow agents to view their commissions figures in real-time. Also wrote a series of Use Cases and design documents for an online intellectual property exchange company.

Created a series of entity Enterprise Java Beans that provide access to a Content Management System implemented using BEA’s WebLogic application server and an Oracle8i database. Developed Java applications to parse webserver log files into information for use by internal and external systems. Created applications to spider file systems and insert data into an Oracle database. Produced an administration tool to manage client data stored in a SQL-Server database. Built a Java GUI for a media search tool utilizing Oracle’s interMedia. Wrote database test programs to assist DBAs in configuring and tuning the Oracle installations.

Employed RMI and Swing components to create the front end of a three-tiered contact management, calendaring, and reporting application upon which the company business is based. The client runs as an applet via Sun’s Java plug-in. Also developed server software for the company intranet that would allow a user to send a message to another employee's pager via an external website. The application involved sending and receiving data via HTTP communication. Crafted a two-tiered application which would allow a user to view information and batch print a series of investment quotes from an Access back end.
