I am a CPMA, CPC, and CEDC with 9+ years of experience in coding. I have experience coding emergency department, hospitalists, inpatient and outpatient, internal medicine, cardiology, neurology, nephrology, endocrinology, palliative care, physical medicine and rehabilitation, nutritional support, oncology, hematology, gastrointestinal, geriatrics, rheumatology, infectious disease, and critical care. I also have experience with GI procedures, dialysis billing, and other inpatient procedures. I currently audit charts for APP for multiple sites to ensure their documentation meets the requirements for the codes that were selected. I educate providers that have documentation discrepancies and complete monthly reporting to track the providers progress. I hold meetings with upper management to let them know how the facility is doing and what improvements have been made as well as any issues or patterns I notice that need improvement. I help train new employees and continue to be a resource for them for any coding issues or questions they have.
