I am Crystal Crooks and I just completed my twentieth year in education. My background is diverse as I have taught in three parishes, five schools and worked under fourteen principals. I have taught kindergarten, first, second, fifth and sixth grades. I currently work in a small rural school in Vernon Parish Louisiana as Title 1/RTI teacher. Observations, evaluations and feedback have been numerous but nothing has taught and molded me more than the experiences I have had along this journey. Graduating in December of 1997, I began teaching in January 1998. Shortly thereafter, I added a kindergarten certification and completed 33 hours in counseling falling just short of obtaining a master’s degree. I am currently working on a master’s degree in educational leadership in which I am on schedule to complete in five weeks. Education is my passion and I look forward to what the future holds.
