I have been an advocate for as long as I can remember, and now as a Nationally Certified Peer Specialist, Florida Certified Recovery Peer Specialist with Adult and Family designations, speaker, trainer, and facilitator, my ability to advocate has become greater than I imagined. My professional experience is focused within Florida-based mental health and wellness agencies including the Florida Department of Children and Families, multiple law enforcement agencies and Correctional facilities, as well as many other community agencies throughout the state, US, and internationally. I have 15+ years’ experience with state government and contracted agencies in the child welfare, and behavioral health fields to deliver training on diverse topics. In addition to a variety of evidence based practices, my facilitation experience includes topics like Ethics, Cultural Diversity, Trauma Informed Care, and Effective Communication. I enjoy teaching and facilitating conversations and being involved in increasing our Recovery Oriented System of Care at every event, training, and community engagement opportunity I'm a part of.
