• General Surgery and Gastroenterology Receptionist: Made Appointments with the Centricity digital scheduling system, arranged doctor’s schedules, daily record filing according to patient identification numbers. Registering new patients for the clinic and withdrawing patients from the clinic.• General Surgery Scheduling: Scheduled and cancelled same day surgery procedures such as Colonoscopies and Endoscopies for the Ambulatory Surgery Center. Went over surgery preparedness information with the patients over the phone and gave in person small group classes. • Emergency Room Patient Coordinator: Worked closely with the nursing staff and made sure newly arrived ER patients had their files in order and were registered in the digital system, answered phones at the nurses’ station using a multiline phone system, transferred and directed calls to the nursing staff, physician staff and patient rooms. Set up patient files and inputted patient information into the computer system as they arrived via Ambulance. Called codes over the central intercom system in the hospital. Provided directional support to patients and their families.
