Start-up providing from-scratch beverage production and canning for major consumer brands in the U.S. Produce more than of 1.5 million cases of beverages per month. Joined this start-up as a lab technician temp. Moved into the SAP role based on operations background and technical skills. Oversaw set-up, launch, and implementation of the SAP-B1 data system which includes inventory, purchasing, warehouse, and production management. Serve on the management team, reporting to the VP of Operations. • Built the SAP system from scratch, working closely with IT consultants to ensure the database matched the operational needs of the company to control/track raw materials, blending, production, shipping, receiving, etc. • Enter all data, train all employees, maintain the system, and troubleshoot all issues for 2 warehouses. • Managed the seamless change-over from one third-party IT vendor to another. • Perform quarterly and/or annual inventory audits with each customer. Key Accomplishments: • Completed the initial SAP build out and launch in 1 warehouse in 6 months; completed implementation at a second warehouse within 14 months. • Virtually eliminated customer product waste by ensuring first-in, first-out raw material use, and eliminated batch errors due to wrong ingredients being pulled.• Prevented any production line delays of more than 20 minutes (running 24/7) since June 2021. • Cut the time needed for inventory and quality control processes.• Helped grow the customer base by providing the real-time data and transparency customers demand, replacing an antiquated, error-ridden, and confusing system of Excel spreadsheets.
