Community Service Specialist
CurrentDelivers 4-H positive development programming directly to youth. Provide direct services that align with the Georgia 4-H AmeriCorps Program objectives: Facilitate 4-H club meetings;Prepare students for 4-H Project Achievement; Attend 4-H Summer Camp;Assist with other 4-H base programming. Assist the County Extension Agent in the day-to-day activities involved with providing direct services to youth, such as planning and development of 4-H programming. Track and document data related to AmeriCorps performance measures and monthly reports, supported by the AmeriCorps State Program Coordinator. This includes administering surveys to youth as well as data entry.Support and provide leadership to the county 4-H Volunteer program: recruit, screen, train, and engage volunteers. Assist with coordinating the county volunteer registration database. Attend local, district, and state program activities and events alongside the County Extension Agent. Participate in required AmeriCorps Trainings: New Service Year Orientation (NSYO) inOctober at Rock EagleCPR/First Aid, additional face-to-face trainings, and monthly webinars. Performs related service as required, including transportation of youth.
