Crystal is a Business and CFO Advisory Leader. Her key focus areas include: Financial Statement Audit support, Risk Management, Internal controls (Operational and Financial), Internal Audit, construction work in progress (CWIP) capitalization, Financial Statement Preparation, Asset Forfeiture, Grant Management, Accounting, Audit Remediation, and Artificial Intelligence. In addition, Crystal has experience providing training to standardize processes and improve practices.She has developed internal control risk assessments, drafted policies related to oversight capabilities, provided in-person and virtual trainings to large audiences, and regularly shared overall awareness of audit solutions, corrective action plans, and proper supporting documentation. She currently supports the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) at the Department of Commerce, and has supported the Small Business Administration, the U.S. Navy, the Department of Justice, and the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB). In 2013, Crystal served as a Corporate Controller for Gate Group, managing the annual $1 Billion Plus budget forecast, business plans and monthly financial activity across all business functions. Crystal is a Certified Government Financial Manager (CGFM) and has passed all parts of the Certified Public Accounting (CPA) License exam. Crystal has provided audit, tax, accounting, and financial advisory services to Commercial and Federal Clients since 2005. Before Controller position, Crystal served as a Manager at Deloitte, managing the Data Quality and Audit Readiness Program project and team for the DOJ, Justice Management Division's Asset Forfeiture Management Staff (AFMS).
