Hi I'm Crystal! A colleague recently told me it was refreshing for them to meet someone enthusiastic about what they do. They gestured at their face to mimic my smile and we both laughed. It reminded me of a former boss who sat me down one day and told me I had found my purpose. They had witnessed me talking with a guest about their upcoming event, at that time I was not an event manager but a creative in the hospitality industry. At that time I hadn't realized that I lit up when I met new people and glowed when given the chance to organize their celebrations. I've spent the last 6 years sharpening my skills and making meaningful connections. I've worked in San Francisco, New York and landed in Los Angeles by way of Los Angeles and love where I am. Now we all have bad days but I do my best to end it with a toast, even if it means smiling so hard we laugh.
