Busy private practice with a high volume of patients and multiple doctors to attend to. Duties include registering patients, scheduling appointments/CT scans, creating and maintaining an atmosphere where patients and families feel safe and comfortable. Manage multiple providers schedules/templates, schedule meetings and collaborations with other clinicians when needed. In charge of medical records (sending/receiving/organizing) for all doctors, ensuring records are processed ASAP and in compliance with HIPAA laws. Other duties include scanning/importing documents, creating medical charts, sorting mail and answering a high volume of calls on a multi-line phone system. Responsible for training all new hires on office protocol/HIPAA. Some billing experience with updating patient accounts, processing payments, sending out invoices and obtaining records for claims to be paid.
