As a Product Design Engineer, I work on the R&D team on conceptual and detailed design work of various new product offerings, as well as revisions and accessories for existing products. In addition I work with vendors to produce samples, create prototypes with our lab technicians, run and coordinate various product and regulatory tests, and whatever else.

At Focal Point, I worked on a variety of projects for multiple teams. Initially I worked in Existing Product Support, managing projects related to maintaining and updating existing LED luminaires. Following a company restructuring, I worked on the team responsible for the Seem linear LED fixture product line, both launching new features on existing.

Rolling Meadows, IL

A hybrid position combining a program manager role with engineering tasks. I launched new bus bar products for military and aerospace customers. I maintained engineering and production schedules in tandem with on-site and outside manufacturing to ensure timely launch of products. I also communicated with customers to negotiate design details and expediting.

Cinnaminson, NJ

Helped coordinate the design and pilot production run of the Podzilla hydraulic lift vehicle system. Created documentation and processes for manufacturing and assembly. Coordinated with vendors and suppliers to manage supply chain and to create electrical / controls system.

East Hartford, Connecticut

Assisted customer with programming and implementation of optical CMM machines in order to automate manufacturing and inspection of aerospace parts. Created manufacturing cost estimation models in order to evaluate delta cost of engineering design changes. Evaluated technical drawings to review design changes between revisions of parts.
