• Increased annual state aid allocation to Omaha 911 call center from $400,000 to more than 1.4 million dollars.• Worked with the Nebraska Legislature to draft and pass bills legalizing transportation rideshare services, nuisance robocalls, broadband deployment, and Next Generation 911, including text to 911.• Worked with Federal Communications Commission, Universal Service Administration, to craft legislation to expand access to telephone and broadband services (Emergency Broadband Benefit, Lifeline) and address national security concerns related spyware in national telecommunications network (Rip & Replace).• Increased enforcement of illegal robocalls.• Worked with the Federal Communications Commission to create a three-digit dialing code for National Suicide Prevention Hotline.• Identified and stopped overcharges to cellular customers in the City of Omaha returning several hundreds of thousands of dollars to consumers.• Implemented reforms to stop waste, fraud, and abuse in the Nebraska Universal Service Fund.
