Cris is a dedicated and experienced leader who has been serving as the Chief Councillor of the Haisla Nation since 2013. She is also a board member of Cedar LNG, a partnership between the Haisla Nation and Pembina Pipelines, and the chairwoman of the First Nations LNG Alliance, a collective of First Nations that support LNG development in BC. With over 10 years of work experience in administration, office administration, and conflict resolution, she has the skills and knowledge to manage the affairs of the Haisla Nation, oversee the governance and operations of Cedar LNG, and advocate for the benefits and opportunities of LNG for First Nations and Canada. She is passionate about promoting the economic, social, and environmental well-being of her community and advancing the reconciliation and collaboration between First Nations, industry, and government. She is a proud graduate of Coast Mountain College and Thompson Rivers University, where she obtained her diploma in business administration. She is a visionary and collaborative leader who strives to create a positive and inclusive culture for her community, her team and their partners.
