Currently implementing a work standard in the Radial Truck Business Center that is increasing productivity by 10 tires/machine/shift.-Identify safety/ergonomic, quality, layout, manning, method and productivity improvements. -Create standard work documents to outline the best method, quality and safety procedures for specific processes throughout the plant. Designed raw material storage and finished product layout in a First In First Out manner for a new mixer. Developed best methods and MOST work standards for wire calendar creel room to determine proper manning required to meet customer demand. -Work closely with USW Local 307 representatives to implement work standards across the plant.-Participate/lead continuous improvement activities using Lean tools including: 5S, QCO, TPM, Pull/Kanban. Assisted implementing a kanban system in the Mix Business Center that decreased WIP by 13%. Developed and implemented a changeover standard on an extruder to cut the changeover time in half.-Assist in development and improvement of OEE for equipment in the mixing, component prep and tire building areas. Performed trucking study to evenly assign the work load throughout the tire room resulting in decreased service delays to the tire machines.-Maintain and develop daily, weekly and monthly reports for plant indicators within multiple business centers.-Analyze monthly demand regarding requirements vs. capacity for the Radial Trucks Business Center and suggest scheduling adjustments as needed. -Perform internal ISO/TS 16949 quality audits throughout the plant.
