Zee Feed is an Explainer journalism platform dedicated to breaking down the news, social issues and pop culture in a way that young Australians can actually understand. In December 2019 Zee Feed published 'How to Win Every Argument', a little book with a big mission: to help young Australians understand the 15 biggest social issues shaping our world, and stay calm when discussing them with others.

Developing strategic commercial opportunities, bringing together the sales, product and specialist arms of the business to hit key revenue outcomes.In this role I led the creation of innovative tentpole opportunities to keep clients excited and engaged with the Daily Mail brand.

• Setting and executing strategy to growing the Native revenue line YoY, including launching new products and monetising existing editorial platforms• Ensuring every content campaign looks and feels uniquely 'Daily Mail'• Overseeing all stages of integrated campaigns involving sponsored or social content, events and activations, from ideation to pitching, execution, distribution, optimisation and performance reporting• Creating bespoke, innovative solutions to solve the key marketing challenges of Daily Mail Australia's key advertising clients• Developing best-practise, data-driven methods to reach specific key audiences within the mass audience of a national and global news brand• Connecting with experts in Daily Mail's international offices to bring global learnings to the Australian team, interpreting and adapting new trends, strategies and products for the local market• Liaising with the editorial team to identify key commercial opportunities and serve as the link between the commercial and editorial arms of the business• Managing and briefing freelance writers, content creators, activation partners, and internal Commercial Writers• Co-hosting Daily Mail Australia's reality TV podcast, Obsessed!

• Conceptualising, developing, writing and editing all branded stories for the Women's Lifestyle sites• Ensuring both integrity of voice and brand messaging for commercial articles, original imagery, videos and social• Developing and implementing content marketing strategies to ensure stories reach campaign targets• Pitching original, platform-specific content ideas into commercial briefs that are in-line with partner and site audience objectives• Setting creative direction of original branded photography and video, and producing this either in-house or with external creative vendors• Identifying key audience trends and insights to make data-driven and credible content recommendations• Identifying the strongest commercial content opportunities from editorial plans that will resonate with the target audience • Owning the role as Women's Lifestyle expert within the commercial team and serving as the link between the commercial and editorial arms of the business

• Editing, sub-editing, fact-checking and proofreading all content for both printed and digital layouts• Working directly alongside the Art Director on the page layouts for every issue• Managing the production process by liaising with printing, shipping and distribution companies• Working with the app team to develop Box Magazine Digital for tablets• Maintaining relationships with and managing expectations of internal and external stakeholders (including luxury brand advertisers Cartier, Giorgio Armani, Audemars Piguet, etc)• Negotiating rates, payment terms and exclusivity T&Cs with freelance contributors• Budgeting each issue and delivering under or on budget every time• Managing the editorial team and chairing weekly meetings• Producing and directing cover photo shoots• Editing captions and fashion credits for all internally and externally produced photo shootsAs Editor of Box Magazine, I was proud to launch the Box Magazine Digital app. Working directly alongside the software developers, we created a stand-alone digital product that offers unprecedented interactive features and capability for the benefit of both readers and advertisers. I also brought the production of the Box Magazine cover shoots in-house for the first time in over five years. In particular, I personally produced three high-profile and noteworthy cover shoots: Miss Universe Australia Scherri-Lee Biggs (Summer 2014), Victoria’s Secret star Erin Heatherton shot by international photographer Russell James (Autumn/Winter 2014), and Rachel ‘Rocky’ Barnes (Autumn/Winter 15). These shoots greatly increased the exposure of Box Magazine with news coverage and social media traction, and ushered in a new aesthetic era for the magazine.

• Writing features stories across a wide variety of categories and subjects• Editing content written by freelancer writers and interns, including writing headlines and standfirsts • Commissioning freelancers and reaching out to new talent with a unique or expert POV• Fielding all pitches and editorial queries• Supervising and managing editorial internsI established an opinion style feature called 'Soap Box' which covers thought-provoking topics outside of the typical luxury categories of Box Magazine. It has since become a permanent fixture in the publication, so far covering topics including the impact of replica furniture on the industrial design industry; the prospect of space travel; and a profile on Australian para-triathlete Brant Garvey, to name a few.
