I’m a process person. I like to understand the order of operations of things to help my linear brain prepare. When it comes to buying or selling a home, I assume other people feel the same way and want to know what’s happening now and what might be happening next! With this in mind, I designed Trophy House to be full of checklists, follow-ups, and other nerdy ways to set people up for success.This honestly isn’t too much of a stretch from what I used to do. For over 8+ years, I owned an event planning business that specialized in LGBTQ+ weddings in Hampton Roads. I learned early on how to navigate the emotional waters of planning such personal events that often cost more than what you’re about to put use as a down payment.And you know what’s really interesting? When I lived in New York City many moons ago (I’m from Hampton Roads but took a 12 year detour), I applied at two different internships: one was doing public relations for a luxury fitness chain and the other was with real estate magnate Barbara Corcoran. I ended up getting hired with the swanky gym which lead to a domino effect of jobs ranging from fine dining to places with fancy titles like “Director of Marketing.” But what if Barbara had called me back?! I like to think Trophy House is it a way for it all to come full circle.Between helping buyers and sellers, you’ll likely see me around town with my husband, Steven, and chocolate lab, Roxy. He’s a semi-professional disc golfer, and I pretend to be useful while sipping champagne and cheering him on. We’re also that annoying couple that really likes to workout together and share meals at restaurants.
