• Develop, maintain, and enhance tools in Access, Excel, and Visual Basic to track manufacturing and operating performance and identify opportunities for improvement, including Ad-Hoc reports• Work closely with operations in managing production accounting, including month-end inventory reconciliation• Build and maintain cost tracking tools for recurring production expenses, variable production expenses, and overtime• Assist in developing the budget for the plant by building analytical tools to determine trends for each department• Build monthly business unit (BU) manufacturing reports to be discussed by the BU and corporate executive committee• Work with teams to develop six sigma project charters and carry these projects beyond initial implementation• Develop and track site specific manufacturing performance metric goals across all operational departments• Collaborate with all departments to develop tools to track monthly expenses, giving managers accountability of their respective department expenses relative to the budget• Serve as an internal auditor for the Beaumont plant (with some work at the Houston site) to ensure compliance with company policies and external auditing standards• Serve as backup to the Logistics Coordinator in shipping hazardous materials domestically and internationally
