Built the end-to-end data warehouse foundation (data lake, pipelines, data warehouse, BI tool / Looker integration) to empower our business to make data-based decisions

As a founding member of OneMove, I led the product team (engineers and designers) and aligned key stakeholders across the company to create a faster and more efficient way to move people long-distance. Focus on Data & Metrics- Created reporting framework to track company KPIs (GMV, # Transactions, Net Revenue, Average Order Value, etc.) which was integrated into company-wide weekly meetings.- Analyzed various data sources (GA, Mixpanel, PostgreSQL, spreadsheets) to measure performance of new features and operational changes. Technology- Spent a significant amount of time in the first year architecting and developing product features in addition to product management.- Led architecture and code reviews with the engineering team.

Major Projects / Responsibilities- Collaborated with Business Development and other major stakeholders to gather requirements to prioritize user stories for next iterations while also preparing overall product strategy - Established new accounting logic and reporting with Finance stakeholders- Led our Product team (Developers and Designers) to deliver feedback, conduct 1 on 1’s, and maintain a communication line between the General Company circle and our team- Developed Automated Price Quoting Engine (enabled instant pricing for customers vs. our previous manual 24-48hr turnaround time)- Implemented a queuing system using SQS & SNS on AWS to power an internal messaging feature

I worked with multiple companies during the summer program, offering engineering advising and on the ground support to help them reach their deliverables.Technologies I worked with include:Ruby (Sinatra, Grape, Rails), PHP (Zend), NodeJS, Client-side JS, CSS, MongoDB, MySQL

● Building a completely new backend platform for the mobile website in NodeJS/Express framework.Working with AWS as well as Heroku to architect the best fit for the new platform.● 2-person team focusing on continuous deployment and experimentation, as well as owning the product fully to make critical decisions.● Conducting user tests and analyzing existing metrics to determine a strategy for revamping the mobile website.

● Managed the team responsible for the website platform which served as the backend for product, account, cart, and checkout pages. ● Responsible as first in line for website issues and troubleshooting; investigate critical issues, analyze daily statistics, and deploy fixes as necessary. Converted the directives from Tech Leadership into actionable items with the tech teams.● Oversaw the execution of technical projects with many moving parts, from initial specifications to deployment. Worked with project managers, product managers, and other tech teams to deliver results on time and in line with business priorities.● Improved release cycle time from 1-2 months to weekly sprints.● Major projects released include full codebase refactoring to enable a more service-oriented architecture, integration with Chase Rewards program, security updates, and Amazon feature integrations.

Collaborated closely with our Product Manager and members of our frontend team to create an intuitive and easy to use RESTful API. ● Worked closely in converting over the Zappos.com website to a Java-based application. Went through legacy PERL code to duplicate the logic in the new webapp and abstracted existing Java database code into an internal API layer.● Helped roll out other vertical sites built on top of the new Java platform (such as http://www.6pm.com)● Developed the “ensemble” feature for the website while working closely with members of UX and Creative Services team. Built an internal tool based on Spring MVC for business users to manage content.
