About Crystal Hamby (Stelzer)
I received my BSc in Herbal Sciences from Bastyr University where I am now an adjunct faculty member teaching classes on herbal medicine making, plant identification, and herbal first aid. I am also the Botanical Medicine Lab manager at Bastyr where I'm in charge of overseeing all inventory and ordering supplies for the lab; I'm responsible for supervising the use of the lab by various classes, clubs, and tutoring sessions; I help facilitate garden to lab plant and product processing along with the garden supervisor; and I supervise lab work-study students. I have a private herbal counseling practice called Green Blessings where I create original therapeutic remedies for my clients, specializing in women’s reproductive health care and adrenal support. Using Western herbal medicine, flower essences, and aromatherapy, it is my desire to help my clients find their unique states of balance. I provide herbal consultation weekly at SugarPill Apothecary on Capitol Hill in Seattle. And, I also teach classes in the community on herbal medicine making, materia medica, and plant identification. It is my desire to reconnect people with plants and to bring the simple art of herbal medicine back into the lives of those in my community so that I may inspire and educate those around me to live a more healthful life.Specialties: Herbal consulting: specializing in women's reproductive health care and adrenal fatigue.Teaching classes on herbal medicine making, plant identification, and herbal materia medica.
