Senior Director of ACE's Private Lands Division and NRCS Programs. We leverage our unique NGO/private sector partnership of thought leaders, consultants, scientists and technical experts to support national and state efforts by the Natural Resource Conservation Service (NRCS) to promote restoration, enhancement, protection and management of wetlands and their associated upland habitats on private lands across the United States and US territories.

Direction of the land trust’s special programs, including documentation and landowner engagement of conservation lands impacted by the 2017 Sonoma and Napa County wildfires; precedent setting conservation easement defense litigation; and organizational rebranding, website redesign and content strategy.

Management and strategic and legal defense of the land trust's holdings on 7,000+ acres of private conservation lands in Sonoma County, including working timber forests, organic dairy farms, wild and natural habitats, vineyards and recreational open spaces. Direction of more than 75 volunteer monitors, strategic engagement with landowners, legal and policy development for private land conservation and acquisition, and legal enforcement of conservation easements.

Directed regional environmental policy, conservation planning and climate change scenario planning efforts; engaged and facilitated stakeholders (policy makers, NGO and agency partners, scientists, thought leaders, and land managers), and managed revenue development. Assisted all other organizational efforts by wearing multiple hats. Authored the Conservation Lands Network 1.0 Progress Report and the update of www.bayarealands.org.

Managed the Ecosystem Services Program and the EPA Healthy Watersheds Program, including environmental effectiveness metrics and monitoring; watershed, water and rangeland conservation and resource management; landowner engagement and outreach; grant writing and administration, project budgeting, and writing scopes of work.Trained as a Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) conservation planner.

Consulted on visioning and planning efforts in climate change, conservation and natural resources.

Water resource policy, land use, climate change resiliency and community development related research and assessment, writing, outreach and graphic design for the following departments and institutions at UC Berkeley: College of Environmental Design, College of Natural Resources, and Center for Resource Efficient Communities. Highlights include coordinating, authoring and editing international water, watershed, and ecological landscape reconnaissance studies in eastern Portugal (2011) and Quito, Ecuador (2012). Project coordination for municipal and community-wide GHG emission inventories, climate adaptation planning, data management, renewable energy and land use visioning, and community organization. Maintained relationships with high-level contacts in the public, private, academic, and utility sectors. Quantified and verified the city’s first greenhouse gas emissions (GHG) inventory in 2009, and wrote the first strategic carbon offset plan.
