Lead all sustainability related initiatives at Gotham Greens (Energy, Water, Waste, Natural Resources)

Joined Gotham Greens as the Chief of Staff to the Chief Greenhouse Officer. I was brought in to help set up mechanisms to (a) measure carbon emissions (b) identify technological opportunities to reduce energy consumption (c) Optimize energy spend and resource consumption (waste, water)Some accomplishments include:- Designed and developed Gotham Green’s first in-house Environmental Management System (EMS) - Project managed commissioning of new greenhouses- Led the clean energy strategy and managed discussions with vendors on an implementation plan integrating various technologies- Negotiated with utilities to optimize spend on electricity, natural gas and other resources- Supported the founder operationally scaling the growing organization - especially in L&D and recruiting

Graduated during the pandemic and was fortunate to work alongside some incredible people at DNV. Leveraged building science expertise to create & implement energy & daylighting models for commercial projects. These models optimized energy use, ensured code compliance (Title 24), and informed design decisions for pre-construction performance evaluation.

Worked as a Research Assistant under the guidance of Professor Les Norford. My Thesis evaluated the impact of electrification on carbon emissions in the built environment through computational design modeling flows. The project was for VOLPE, a 14-acre mixed-use development under construction at MIT. The research was sponsored by the Environmental Solutions Initiative.

Moved to Australia in 2017 and joined a boutique sustainability consultancy. Got an incredible opportunity to engage & work with external clients while understanding sustainability rules and building codes in a new geography.- Collaborated with architects, developers, consultants on building sustainability assessments- Managed project execution and directly interfaced with clients- Hands-on experience using software tools and programs (e.g. Rhino, BESS, STORM)- Supported founder with capacity building exercise to enhance team competencies

Started my career as a Research Associate at TERI, an award winning think tank dedicated to conducting research for sustainable development of India and the Global South. Key accomplishments include:- Sustainable building design consultancy for achieving resource efficiency and green ratings- Collaborated with UNEP and other leading international agencies to develop policy guidelines • Integrated energy and resource efficiency into building codes of Nigeria • Developed guidelines for sustainable development for Bhutan • Drafted policy for green growth and development at central and state government level - Building sector expert in Dharmashala’s successful bid under the “100 Smart Cities Program”- Visiting faculty at the postgraduate program on Urban Development, TERI University- Delivered training programs to government officials and industry stakeholders at TERI University
