Head Of B&M Sales
Current
Senior Field Sales Manager
Leader of the Field Sales team in Hungary, Romania, Croatia, Slovenia. 8 direct reports.
Senior Key Account Manager
In this position, which is additional to my core role of SKAM for Tesco CE, I am responsible for the regional negotiations with Kaufland in the CEE region (CZ, SK, PL, HR, RO, BG). I co-work with local KA managers sitting in the different markets.
Senior Key Account Manager
In March 2015 I became Senior KAM being responsible for the LEGO Business in Tesco Central Europe. I moved for the job to the Czech Republic, then I was relocated back to Hungary, but with the same job scope. In 2012, Tesco decided that they would centralise their buying functions from the different CEE countries to the UK and as a result, they would source goods only from Slovakia that would be delivered only to one central warehouse that is located in Slovakia. The LEGO Group responded to this by creating the Regional Senior KAM role for Tesco. I was offered to take this job. In this job I keep relationship with key Tesco counterparts sitting in the United Kingdom as well as sitting in the different markets. In the UK I negoatiate with commercial teams while in the local markets I deal with store operations and local buying teams, mainly about execution. In 2013 and now I'm the leader of a Czech account manager sitting in Prague, while in 2014 I was also the leader of a Danish KAM who was our in-business rep in the Tesco office in the UK. Also, with dotted line, I have a junior account manager sitting in Poland who is responsible for the delivery of our business plan in Polish territory. In my role I was reporting to the Czech country manager first, then to the Polish coountry manager until March 2015. From now on, my reporting line will be moved to Czech Republic again. In this job I have gained tremendous experience about one of the major retailers of the world, I learned how to manage internal and external stakeholders with multi-cultural background, and I also learned how to run a business entirely in English language. I practised remote management, international management & coaching. As a result of the 2-year period from 2013, we have managed to fix the basics of the regional collaboration with Tesco and most likely, we have moved our business to a long-term sustainable growth path after some period of turbulence.
Senior Key Account Manager
On top of my role as SKAM for Tesco CE and lead KAM for Kaufland CEE, I work on a short term assignment in Dubai for The LEGO Group. The Group is opening their new office in the UAE in 2019 and my role is to help onboarding new recruits and to take over the management of several customer accounts for a temporary period of time.
Key Account Manager
I was hired by the LEGO Group in 2011 to work as KAM in Hungary. In this role I was responsible for the Hungarian modern trade as well as e-commerce business. I was a leader of a team of 2 people (one Junior Account Manager and one sales coordinator). In the role I broadened my functional expertise as KAM, and at the same time, gained more knowledge about the Hungarian retail sector, negotiating with all major players. Apart from regular KAM work, I also ran a value stream optimization project with Auchan to improve our delivery service, on-shelf availabilty as well as to improve the retailer's financial performance (higher stock turn, lower average stock). This project was awarded by the LEGO Group during the annual European Sales Conference in Copenhagen, 2013 as the winning case in the category of superior operations & logistics (European KAM Awards). After completing 2 years in this role, I was asked to take a bigger challenge with Tesco Central Europe.
Senior Key Account Manager
In this typical key account manager role first I was reponsible for the Spar Group and Metro. I gained knowledge about retailing, trading terms, negotiations, sales. I learnt how to build and execute a proper business plan. Later on I got the responsibility over a Junior Account Manager, gaining people leadership experience. During this period I also attended training courses in the area of key account management, organized by Coca-Cola Hellenic, and delivered by Kantar Retail / Glenndinning at that time. I attended 3 times 3-day courses in Zurich, Vienna & Warsaw.
Sap Team Member
In 2010, Coca-Cola Hellenic were launching SAP as their ERP as well as CRM system. For the launch a large team was assembled and I participated in this process by contributing to the work of the CRM team (promotions & pricing). This assignment was a project work for me, on top of my Senior KAM role, and it included work within an international community and travels to Sofia, Bulgaria to work in the IT headquarter. As a result, I gained major understanding on how SAP systems work.
Trade Marketing Manager
Trade Marketing Manager of Brown-Forman spirits brands portfolio. In this job I was the key link between my employer (Coca-Cola, the distributor of the above named spirit portfolio in Hungary) and the owner of the brands. I was the first one in this position and as such I was deeply involved in the establishment of the cooperation between these major companies that has been working ever since. I had to work on listing strategy, warehousing projects (how to separate excise goods from the core product range), forecasting & logistics. I was the key person for delivering the trade marketing plan as well as planning and delivering in-store materials, etc. During this period I gained widespread understanding of the business of alcoholic beverages as well as the Hungarian retail and HoReCa segment. I also participated in several events organized by the partner company in Romania, Czech Republic and the USA (Tennessee).
Management Trainee
I was hired by Coca-Cola Hellenic Bottling to be part of their management trainee program that included working in several sales positions for temporary periods. I worked as a sales representative visiting stores, pubs, bars restaurants. I also worked at the call center, taking incoming calls as well as working as a tele sales agent. Later I worked as an area sales manager leading small teams of sales presonnel - all positions in the countryside as well as in the Budapest area.
Refreshing Team
I worked at the 2004 Athens Olympic Games as part of a multi-cultural team of the Coca-Cola Refreshing Team. My main responsibility was to provide high availability of soft drinks provided to sportsmen at the Olympic Village.
Teacher
I was on an AIESEC internship in Bogotá, Colombia. I worked in a bi-lingual English-Spanish high school where I taught English grammar to students of junior high and senior high grades (9 to 11). In this role I learnt how to strive in a culture that is significantly different from home and I also learnt Spanish language on the job.
