At Riot Games, the traditional “teacher to student” model is not a sufficient developmental solution. Therefore, as a member of the Learning and Development team, I am challenged with developing a blended learning environment tailored to all learning styles. In order to achieve this aggressive goal, I work hard to: - Manage the development of an internal tool aimed at helping Rioters connect with relevant resources to help them level up their skills and progress their careers.- Strategize with key leaders to develop learning and development strategies and programs suited to Riot's unique work culture.- Develop a blended learning solution to generate company-wide alignment around Recruiting best practices ranging from sourcing, interviewing, and candidate experience.- Create a "best in class" onboarding experience through engaging workshops and programs that help to align Rioters with our unique culture and set them up for success.- Design and establish customized programs aimed to support the unique developmental needs of Rioters such as, facilitated mentorship connection, peer-learning groups, and group project facilitation.Recent programs developed include: - An immersive manager's fundamentals course that blended both industry best practices and the subject matter expertise of our senior leadership who invest in teaching the course alongside learning professionals. - Product leadership curriculum aimed at developing the mindset of a product leader in Riot and how best to effectively navigate our unique work system to deliver value to our players. - Organizational wide change management regarding compensation and performance management systems.

The Microsoft Retail division was in its infant stages in late 2009 and had the difficult challenge of opening stores at a rapid pace while developing an infrastructure and culture in parallel. During my time there, I worked to help create consistency and efficiency throughout the stores by:- Developing and establishing curriculum utilized as backbone of team advancement training across organization.- Providing forecasting and reporting tools for business financials & sustainability of business implementations.- Significantly contributing to all aspects of the business such as the development and maintenance of the personal training team, production of unique small business offerings and operating efficiency tools.- Collaborating with corporate and field team members in the development of the tools and programs that lead to establishment of long-term relationships with elated customers.These actions ultimately resulted in an improved, consistent customer experience throughout the stores.
