After launching my career in IT, I began devising tech solutions to resolve business problems. Doing so improved productivity, efficiency, production quality, profitability, and overall organizational effectiveness. My leadership success grew to envisioning and executing C-level strategy without losing sight of front-line details and the people who get them done. I have a cross-industry passion for people and problem-solving and am irresistibly motivated by eight words: "Can you help me?" and "It can't be done." From there, I combine leadership, strategy, and vision to isolate the problem, embrace a strategy and solution, and share in its successful outcome. Many doors have opened and closed throughout my career, and I’ve transformed professionally to meet them every time. Along the way, I’ve worn and continue to wear many hats, often changing them out multiple times on a given day:► C-LEVEL OFFICER: Through multiple businesses, I have C-level responsibility in executive leadership, operations, information, and marketing. Though I approach business from a strategic, high-level vantage point, I lead by example. I’m able to support any of these functions and more, so I readily roll up my sleeves alongside anyone doing anything that needs to get done. ► CONSULTANT: I’m a bit of reluctant consultant. I have a talent for finding and fixing operational hot spots, fast. Rather than bark orders, I prefer to become a loyal partner of an organization who’s in it for the long haul. My strategy is to work from the outside in, spiraling into the center of issues and correcting or improving them along the way. ► BUSINESS OWNER & HANDS-ON LEADER: I own and operate three business: a C-corp with three retail locations, an LLC, and a franchise, supporting all with integrated marketing, finance, operations, and hands-on leadership of people, projects, and systems. With a breadth of experience, I anticipate dependencies to fill the gaps before they even show.► COMMUNITY LEADER: I was a professional musician at one time, writing music, conducting, and playing as one of the few trumpeters who could effectively segue from symphonic, to jazz, and rock. I’m known in the community as a local businessowner, but also as a Board member, business mentor and educator, radio station GM, and performing singer. For my next act, I’m looking to partner with an organization that has a great mission and feels exasperated, without an answer for achieving grand progress. That will be my cue to bring in my skills and passion to collaborate and achieve success.
